Zach Millar

A member of the hockey community could use your help.

There will be a 'puck toss' fundraiser for Zach Millar of the Ajax/Pickering Novice AAA Raiders on Sunday January 11 6pm at the Ray Twinney Complex in Newmarket.

8 year old Zach was diagnosed with Leukemia in mid December and he is in the early stages of treatment.  The hope and wish is that Zach will fully recover and return to his regular life and routine.  The funds will be used towards his treatment and recovery.

The contest is being run by the York Simcoe Express Novice AAA team after the second period of their game on Sunday night against the Raiders.

The winner of the contest will receive 4 tickets for the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Carolina Hurricanes game in Toronto on Monday January 19, 2009 at 7:30 pm.  The seats are in section 103 in the Air Canada lounge.  Approximate value is $160 per ticket.

Pucks are $5 each.

If you would like to participate, please attend the event or you can purchase a puck online using the link below.  Hockey Science & Technology has made arrangements with the team organizers to facilitate your entry.  The cut off time for online sales will be 2pm Sunday January 11, 2009. All sales will be passed onto the event organizers to give to Zach's fund.
